SNP chief Ian Blackford today caused uproar in the House of Commons by branding Boris Johnson a 'racist' who is 'not fit for office'.
The Scottish nationalists' Westminster leader delivered the extraordinary tirade at PMQs, hammering Mr Johnson for describing muslim women in veils as 'letterboxes'.
The outburst drew a rebuke from Speaker John Bercow, who demanded that Mr Blackford withdraw the jibe.
But to the fury of Tory MPs Mr Blackford refused to comply, and Mr Bercow did not punish him.
Mr Blackford began his exchange with Theresa May by asking: 'Does the Prime Minister agree with the front-runner set to succeed her that the Scottish people are a verminous race that should be placed in ghettos and exterminated?'
