Meghan McCain snaps at Joy Behar on The View during prickly debate on 's ...

Yet another clash between The View's Meghan McCain and Joy Behar ended with the late senator's daughter calling her co-host a 'b****'.

McCain v Behar battles have become a staple at the table - and it doesn't look like that's changing anytime soon.

The pair got into it during the opening segment of Wednesday's show while discussing President Donald Trump's 2020 campaign kickoff rally the night before.

Tension grew even more quickly than usual as McCain offered her commentary on the rally and Behar interrupted her within a matter of seconds.

McCain was visibly frustrated as she tried to defend her statement about the rally's large crowd before even getting to the end of her thought.

She moved on to talk about the president's speech before Behar interrupted with a question, to which McCain curtly replied: 'Watch the rally, yes, please.'

The conversation reached a boiling point when McCain scolded her colleagues for disparaging Trump supporters.

'Don't belittle the crowd. Don't belittle the enthusiasm. Democrats have a lot to come,' McCain said.

'A lot of people are enthusiastic. One of my producers [was] saying: "Why do people love him so much?" It's not just they love Trump so much. It's they hate the same things Trump hates. That's what's going on.'

Behar interrupted: 'Who? Black people, you mean? Immigrants? Who do they hate?'

McCain stammered briefly before saying: 'You know what, Joy, really, I come here every day open-minded trying to explain it and it's not a fun job for me.

'I know you're angry. I know that you're angry that Trump is president.'

'Yes I'm angry. I'm angry about every single thing he's doing,' Behar said as McCain continued her rant, raising her voice as she said: 'I don't think yelling at me is going to fix the problem.'

Audience applause for McCain briefly alleviated the tension in the studio, but the relief only lasted a few seconds as both women continued to talk over each other, cancelling out both messages.
