A female teacher and school fitness coach now sells activewear for a living after a court heard she repeatedly had sex with a 16-year-old male student.

Sarah Joy Guazzo, 29, was found not guilty of three charges of 'procuring' a child for sex at a high school in Townsville, north Queensland.

But Daily Mail Australia can reveal Ms Guazzo has nonetheless been banned from teaching and now works in retail for a sportswear chain.

A Queensland District Court jury was told Ms Guazzo met the boy during a bomb hoax in March 2016 and struck up a flirty relationship.

The jury was told she gave the boy alcohol and had sex with him in secluded locations around Townsville - after claiming she was having marriage issues at home.

According to an ABC account of proceedings, the court heard that Ms Guazzo first met the boy during a bomb hoax and asked him 'have you ever thought of having sex with a teacher?'
