Heroic grandmother, 75, holds car theft suspect at gunpoint in her front yard

An Alabama grandmother proved looks can be deceiving when she ruthlessly helped to detain an on-the-run car thief suspect on Monday by holding him at gun point in her front-yard until deputies could arrive.

Cameron Powers had been evading arrest for more than four hours after crashing a stolen car in Limestone County during a high-speed chase with cops.

Wrecking the vehicle close the home of Marcia Black, 75, the grandmother went outside to investigate the source of the raucous and inadvertently ended up being lauded as a hero.

‘I walked out and said, “Can I help you?” And he said, “yes ma’am, I’d like to use your phone.” Black told WAAY.
