A 12-year-old boy drowned in a lake at a high-end New Jersey country club on Wednesday, authorities have said.
Police rushed to reports of a drowning at Lake Valhalla, which is a $6,000-a-membership private club in Montville, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.
The child, who has not been named, is understood to have been playing near a dock before he went underwater at the Vista Road lake but never resurfaced.
