She went downstairs to investigate further and arrived to find Anna stabbed and laying on the ground.

The shocking revelation was shared during a bail hearing for Amanda, who has been charged with aggravated manslaughter in relation to her identical twin’s death.

A theory behind the source of the fateful argument has not yet been revealed by prosecutors, but a New York Times report suggests that the sisters may have both been romantically involved with the same man.

Police arrived at the scene at 5:40am on June 22 to find Ramirez covered in blood, who is said to have told officers she had no idea what had happened to Anna and she found her sister that way.

Police documents show that officers observed a number of injuries on Ramirez’s body as they were interviewing her, including scratches on her face, lacerations on one finger and dried blood on her ear

The 27-year-old then changed her story multiple times with police. On the third revisal she claimed they had both been drinking at a relative’s home and when they arrived back at the apartment block she had struck her sister in the face.

According to Ramirez’s account, the sister’s fought until they were on their knees, where Anna then went to go and get a knife from the kitchen.
