A magician was shot in the head with a crossbow in front of traumatised audience members after an on-stage trick went horribly wrong.
Li Lau was rushed to hospital with an arrow lodged in his head following the stunt at the National Arts Festival (NAF) in Makhanda, South Africa, on Sunday.
Lau, whose stage name is 'One Crazy China', was performing an illusion alongside magician Brendon Peel as part of the duo's 'Carnival Sideshow and Other Magical Things' show.
But the packed crowd gasped in horror when Peel fired a single shot and the arrow struck Lau's skull.
