You wouldn't be blamed for thinking that black swans have right of way in the WA capital, as one of the daring birds certainly did on Wednesday morning. 

Northbound commuters on Perth's Kwinana Freeway were forced to wait for the swan to cross the road at around 8am, as one brave woman walked across the multi-lane road, guiding the bird to safety.

Aleks Marin was heading to work when he got caught up in the gridlock.
