More than 300 brides have been left out of pocket after a catering company suddenly closed down without notice.

Murwillumbah's Farm Fresh Spit Roast in far north-eastern New South Wales told hundreds of customers they were shutting the business 'immediately' via email.

Brides were left furious with one saying her day was just three months away and had already paid half the catering cost.
