Sydney Swans legend Jarrad McVeigh retires from AFL after an illustrious 17-year career

Sydney Swans veteran Jarrad McVeigh has called full-time on his 17-season AFL career.

The 2012 premiership co-captain told his teammates on Thursday morning he will retire when Swans' season ends later this month.

McVeigh, 34, has kicked 200 goals in 324 games during his decorated career which includes 15 final series.
