The father of a British boy who died Tuesday after falling from a holiday flat in Spain has spoken of his grief in a heart-breaking Facebook post.

Gary Briscoe from Wilmslow, Cheshire, paid tribute to 13-year-old Lucas on social media as he posted a photo of himself with the teenager, writing: 'Anyone who has children please cherish every moment with them.'

Lucas died at 1.30pm local time in the Costa del Sol resort of Fuengirola after he fell from a sixth floor apartment terrace and landed on an internal balcony. 

He was on holiday with his mum and a friend at the time.
