A former The Only Way is Essex star appeared in court today accused of taking part in a £3m 'coloured diamonds' investment scam.
Lewis Bloor, 29, is charged with duping victims into buying into the diamonds despite knowing they were not a 'legitimate investment opportunity' with six other men.
He appeared in the dock clean shaven, wearing a dark suit and unbuttoned white shirt at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
It is thought up to 50 victims could have lost around £3million in the scam.
Misba Majid, prosecuting, said: 'This is an investigation that has started in 2013 into an organised criminal network.'
She said the men were involved in a 'wholly fraudulent' company called Henderson Forbes Limited based at the famous skyscraper One Canada Square in Canary Wharf, east London.
