A hunky Brit with a high-powered job as a rocket scientist has triumphed at the Mr World competition.

Jack Heslewood, 27, scooped first place in the global male pageant held in The Philippines earlier today.

The brainy aerospace engineer from Bishops Stortford, Herts, beat off stiff competition from 71 other countries to land the top title.

The biennial competition is a five-part test of strength, skill, dedication, and multimedia.

Jack, who has a 'genius' level IQ of 181 put his scientific work on hold to dip his muscled toe into the world of male modelling.

The 6ft 3in brainy heathrob previously said: 'In modelling you get to meet lots of diverse people and make new friends, it's a great distraction from science which is very demanding mentally.
