AFL star Majak Daw has celebrated his first Father's Day with his girlfriend praising her 'king' for being a 'caring dad', just nine months after he plunged from a Melbourne bridge.

The 28-year-old's girlfriend, Emily McKay, posted an image of the football star and his son Hendrix Kuat William Daw to Instagram on Sunday, showing them both sleeping.

'Happy first Father's Day to our King,' she wrote.

'We only on day four of winging it and you are the most natural, loving and caring dad we would ask for. Love, your twin and I.' 

He also posted a heartwarming photo to his Instagram story, holding his son dressed in a 'best dad ever' wrap.

'Hendrix Kuat William Daw, our little man was born this morning around 1am. Emily McKay and I are so thrilled and proud to be his parents,' he wrote.
