Strolling along Hove's stunning strip of coastline in the glorious sunshine is one of the reasons the seaside town is such an attractive place for homeowners and tourists alike.
But the usual sense of tranquility evaporated yesterday when roughly 50 caravans and motorhomes rumbled onto the promenade and pitched up a suspected traveller camp.
Aerial photographs show the traveller site as an eyesore on the waterfront and close-up shots reveal rubbish strewn across the neatly-trimmed grass on which the vehicles were parked.
