More than three thousand people threatened to turn up to an IKEA store near Glasgow to play a huge game of hide and seek.

Police were called to guard the IKEA store on Saturday afternoon after some people entered the store on Saturday attempting to hide under beds and even in fridges, The i reported.

The popular game involves a designated 'seeker' trying to find hidden players, though it is unclear how this would have worked on a mass scale.
