The trial of nightclub identity John Ibrahim's model girlfriend is finally set to start more than two years after a pistol was allegedly found in her home.
Sarah Budge, 29, appeared in the New South Wales District Court in Sydney on Monday for what was set down to be a ten-day hearing.
The court heard the trial could be shortened if the Crown and defence were given the day to discuss the case and it was adjourned until Tuesday morning.
Budge is accused of possessing a 9mm Glock 26 pistol allegedly found in her apartment at Double Bay in Sydney's eastern suburbs in August 2017.
At the time she was managing director of Crane Bar, a restaurant and music venue in Kings Cross.

The trial was postponed in February as Budge, 29, needed to care for her terminally ill mother, who has since died. It was adjourned on Monday and is now set to start on Tuesday
Budge is charged with possessing an unauthorised pistol and possessing or using a prohibited weapon without a permit.
She is also charged with using, supplying, acquiring or possessing a defaced firearm.
