Police and the reporting agency Action Fraud began to investigate Dana Twidale, 42, after complaints from engaged couples, catering and event hire firms and DJs.
A number of lovestruck men also say the mother-of-four defrauded them out of large sums. Her estranged husband Carl Twidale, 45, says he lost £4,000 and a suitor who met her via the Tinder dating app claims he gave her £10,000 for her mother’s funeral – only to find out that her mother was still alive.

She was pictured over the weekend dabbling in the pool and basking in the sunshine in Benidorm, southern Spain. (Pictured: wedding planner Dana Twidale, a mother-of-four, who is believed to have gone on the run)
Ms Twidale was also pictured leaning on the poolside as she relaxed in the near-30 degree heat at the Apartamentos Acuarium II in southern Spain. (Pictured: Ms Twidale talks to another person in the pool)
She also took a seat on a lilo that was placed in the shade. Her estranged husband, Carl Twidale, has said that she deserves to be 'fed to the dogs' for her actions
Mr Twidale says he was called by Humberside Police on Saturday and told his wife had ‘been arrested and was in custody’.
However, the same police force refused to comment yesterday ‘because of data protection’ and it was not clear if she was being held in the UK or Spain, where she was spotted three weeks ago.
She was photographed by a holidaymaker sunbathing and swimming with one of her children at a holiday complex in Benidorm.
Mr Twidale, a barber from Hull, had been trying to track her down
