Interior designer Vicky Charles is being sued for $239,000 by a former client for allegedly ditching a project to help with the Duke and Duchess' home

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's interior designer is being sued by a former client after ditched her original project to renovate the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Frogmore Cottage.

Vicky Charles, former Global Head of Design at Soho House, is being sued for $239,000 in a lawsuit filed by Andrea Olshan, who claims Charles failed to complete her homes in Manhattan and East Hampton and then refused to refund her.

The lawsuit states: 'Ms. Charles, by all appearances, began to separate herself from the project, upon information and belief, to work for more ''A-List'' clients such as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex who are reported to have hired Ms. Charles to renovate their Frogmore Cottage in anticipation of the birth of their first child, baby Archie Harrison, in mid-2019.'

The designer to the stars allegedly 'walked off the job' and 'never fully engaged with the projects' and instead was busy with overseas with The Duke and Duchess' $3million renovations.

The lawsuit filed says that Charles 'began to separate herself from the project to work for more ''A-List'' clients such as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex who are reported to have hired Ms. Charles to renovate their Frogmore Cottage in anticipation of the birth of their first child, baby Archie Harrison, in mid-2019.'
