A young girl was forced to hand over cash and cigarettes after being held at knifepoint at her family's shop.

A masked robber threatened Jasmine Wang, 9, and her 73-year-old grandmother at their convenience store in Lidcombe in Sydney's West on Friday night.

The thief, clad in a skeleton mask, pulled out the large kitchen knife before fleeing with the money and more than 2000 cigarettes.
