Long before he was elected president, Donald 's boorish behavior was a thorn in the side of his distant Scottish cousin, Alice Mackay, who says the son of the late Fred and Mary Anne MacLeod was nothing like his endearing mom and dad.

'I don't like the man at all,' Mackay, 79, said of Donald . 'He had lovely parents, I don't know what went wrong with him.'

Mackay is related to the maternal side of the president's family. 's mother emigrated to the U.S. from Scotland in 1930 before marrying his father in 1936.

's older sister Maryanne Barry, 82, and their mom visited her native country every summer for years trying to stay connected to their Scottish ancestry.
