An unemployed man admits he uses part of his welfare cheque to buy drugs after his basic needs are paid for.

Adrian, 30, lives on taxpayer handouts but also acknowledged he was able to work, and would have to get a job if his payments were cut off.

He is exactly the kind of welfare recipient targeted by Prime Minister Scott Morrison's plan to have anyone on unemployment or youth allowance drug tested.
