Two careless tourists will face charges after being caught on camera leaning over Yellowstone's Old Faithful, a steaming geyser that erupts once an hour with boiling water.

Mother-of-three Kimberly Guilliams was visiting the Wyoming geyser at the U.S. National Park on Tuesday with her family when she snapped two men trespassing off the designated boardwalk - an illegal and dangerous action.

The family spotted the men leaning in to the mouth of the geyser and taking photos, whilst they waited safely on the boardwalk for it to erupt, which it has done every 45-120 minutes since records began.
