A raging motorist has terrified a horse by appearing to swerve towards it and blare her horn after a furious row with the rider.

The driver of a Mini Cooper was angry at the horse riders for going past her home and waking her up in the morning because of the noise.

The motorist ended the heated argument by driving off while beeping and swerving close to the horses.

Charlotte Knox posted the video recorded in Harrogate, North Yorkshire last month, to social media.

The video starts with the woman ranting about the horse waking her children up with Charlotte trying to explain that it is a public highway and she can use it.

The driver says: 'You are disrupting my home. Waking my children up. You're waking my children up at half past six in the morning and I've been on nights. I don't want it anymore. I don't want it anymore.'

Charlotte tries to interject explaining how it is a public highway but the driver continues.

She says: 'You are not allowed past my house until eight o'clock.'
