Daisy Lowe has insisted she is trying to 'help the planet' as she defended her own use of fuel-guzzling private jets despite revelling in this week's Extinction Rebellion protests.

The model, 30, has joined the eco-activists bringing London to a standstill this week and posed near the Houses of Parliament as part of the climate protests.

However, she has previously posed with her own private planes and jetted around the world for holidays.

Questioned by The Sun at her London home, she said: 'I'm just trying to help the planet, that's all,' and refused to comment further.
