The native Hawaiian pleaded no contest to first-degree assault and had his charges of first-degree burglary, first-degree terroristic threatening, second-degree theft and first-degree criminal property damage dismissed.
Probation was recommended after the defense and prosecution came to the plea deal agreement.
'My main concern is justice,' said Kunzelman, who traveled from the mainland US to attend the sentencing. 'Justice in this case is not probation.'
