The fast food chain Chick-fil-A sent out an email to customers promoting National Sandwich Day - even though its restaurants are closed on that same day.

The annual day falls this year on November 3, which is this coming Sunday.

But Chick-fil-A is famous not just for its popular chicken sandwiches but also for its longstanding policy of closing on Sunday.

The Georgia-based company sent another email to customers apologizing for the confusion.

‘We recently sent an email that included a message about National Sandwich Day, which naturally we were very excited about,’ the email reads.
