While Latrell Mitchell's teammates and coach were enjoying an all-expenses paid trip to the United States, he was alone at the Great Barrier Reef.
Envious images of the Sydney Roosters squad enjoying NFL and NBA games as part of their pre-season training in Los Angeles appeared on social media this week.
But troubled centre Mitchell was absent from the team trip, instead holidaying in Queensland with his pregnant partner Brielle and their young daughter.
A photograph of Mitchell sitting alone in the water showed just how alienated the NRL star has become from the team he helped win back to back premierships.
The 22-year-old played a starring role in the Roosters premiership victory this season, scoring 19 tries and a league-high 273 points.
But his decision to turn his back on a two-year $1.6million deal with the Roosters sealed his fate with the proud club.
