Virginia Roberts' father today said he is in 'no doubt' that she is 'telling the truth' over her claims she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew.
Sky Roberts hailed her daughter's bravery for coming forward to take on 'powerful people' and said he be believes 'most of Britain' thinks the Duke of York is lying.
Ms Roberts claims she was ordered to have sex with the prince while working for paedophile billionaire financier Jeffrey Epstein as a 17-year-old in 2001.
Mr Roberts told Good Morning Britain: 'My feelings towards Prince Andrew is that he knows the truth and what he really did.
'I've seen the interviews, him denying everything, apparently he's not telling the truth and I think most of Britain knows that. I feel so sorry for my daughter for everything she went through.
'At the time she was going through it, I had no idea. I love my daughter very much. She's really brave to be going through all of this and to come up against these powerful people.'
Speaking from Florida, the father said he had been tormented by the fact he was the one to have helped Virginia get a job at Mar-a-Lago where he himself worked before Ghislaine Maxwell recruited her to work as a masseuse.
He added: My daughter is, she's a good girl, she really is. Like I say, I wish I'd known all of this stuff was going on, but I didn't. As a parent you kind of ask the question, 'how do you not know your children are doing this?'
'But she's a very good actress. When she would come home from these trips she said nothing about it. It must have been killing her inside. But for powerful people like that they can threaten a young girl like that.

'These girls are young, they really don't know what's going on with these powerful people and what they can actually do.
If they're threatening their mother and father and brothers or whatever that we're going to take them out or whatever if you say anything then they don't say anything.
'I'm just glad she's out of it and fighting back – we're very proud of her.'
Mr Roberts added: 'She has no reason to not tell the truth about this. He has every reason to deny it because him being a Royal and what he's done.
'These are young girls, these are kids. He has young daughters, what if it was his daughter that went through this? These powerful people that pick on young girls like this, they should be prosecuted.'
Prince Andrew has strenuously denied the allegations.
In moving and at times tearful interviews on Monday night, Virginia Roberts also said she is 'calling BS' on 'ridiculous excuses' from 'people on the inside' which seek to rubbish her claim of having had sex with Prince Andrew while a teenager trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein, adding, 'because that's what it is'
The interview comes as Prince Andrew faced fresh humiliation last night as it was revealed he sent an email to Jeffrey Epstein's alleged madam Ghislaine Maxwell at 5.50am to let her know he had 'specific questions' about Ms Roberts.
The BBC Panorama investigation uncovered a 2015 email which suggests he asked for Maxwell's help in responding to Miss Roberts' claims he had sex with her when she was 17 and a trafficked 'sex slave' of Epstein.
As part of the email, the prince asks Maxwell: 'Let me know when we can talk. Got some specific questions to ask you about Virginia Roberts,' causing her to respond: 'Have some info. Call me when you have a moment.'
The correspondence took place on January 3, 2015, days after Andrew was named in US court documents submitted by Miss Roberts as part of a civil lawsuit against her alleged pimp Maxwell.

Miss Roberts was referred to as 'Jane Doe 3' in the documents, but Buckingham Palace had been alerted to the fact that she intended to speak publicly about the lawsuit, with the Mail On Sunday revealing her as the anonymous accuser hours later on January 3.
The duke insisted during his own BBC interview last month that he has no memory of meeting Miss Roberts, saying: 'I have no recollection of ever meeting this lady, none whatsoever.'
In excruciating detail last night, Miss Roberts, now known as Virginia Giuffre, alleged she was 'grossed out' by dancing with the sweat-soaked royal and felt sick at realising she was expected to have sex with him aged 17.

She said she had felt scared because Andrew and Epstein were powerful, adding: 'I just didn’t expect it from royalty. I didn’t expect it from someone that people look up to and admire in the Royal Family.'
Describing their alleged sexual encounter, she said: 'It didn't last very long, the whole entire procedure. It was disgusting.
