Passengers have spoken of their fury after their plane came aborted take-off at the final second - not once, but twice. 

Travellers were just setting off on a Malaysia Airlines flight vrom Kuala Lumpur to Auckland on New Year's Day when their journey came to a sudden halt.

The passengers were put on another flight the following day only for the plane to stop once more, sending passengers into a frenzy with one so distressed an ambulance was called.

Serjit Singh, who lives in Red Beach, Auckland, said passengers jolted forward in their seats after the pilot slammed on the brakes, calling the ordeal 'harrowing'.
