An 18-year-old man stabbed to death by a teenage boy has today been named locally.

Ollie Wells, who is believed to have been known to the 16-year-old arrested on suspicion of murder, was attacked at a house in Newhaven, East Sussex.

Armed police were called to the property at 11.30pm last night following reports of a fight. Mr Wells died at the scene.

Tributes have been paid to Mr Wells on social media and one friend said: R.i.p Ollie Wells. Fly high your (sic) gonna be missed.' 

Neighbour Estelle Wilson, who lives just two houses from the scene told The Argus: 'I sleep with my windows open and I head a noise and then more noise.

'And then I looked out and by that time the paramedics were there and they had him on the ground and were trying to save him.

'My son said he heard someone shout 'oh sh**' at about 11.30pm, then he heard what he thought was a van.
