Penn State football coach James Franklin allegedly retaliated against a former recruit for reporting violent hazing by Nittany Lions players, who purportedly invoked the name of disgraced ex-assistant coach Jerry Sandusky while threatening teammates with sexual abuse.

In a federal lawsuit filed against Franklin and current Penn State player Damion Barber on Tuesday, former Nittany Lions defensive back Isaiah Humphries claims he transferred to the University of California, Berkeley because of incessant and overtly sexual hazing, which included players shoving their bare genitals into the faces and backsides of their teammates.

The filing, obtained by Pennlive.com, specifically names linebackers Micah Parsons and Jesse Luketa as well as defensive end Yetur Gross-Motos as being among the alleged tormentors.

Penn State has yet to respond publicly.

'I'm going to Sandusky you,' one player allegedly said, referring to the former Penn State defensive coordinator who is now serving between 30 and 60 years for 52 counts of sexual abuse involving minors.

Humphries also says he and his father Leonard Humphries, a former Penn State and NFL player, reported the abuse but were ignored.

For his part, Franklin retaliated against Humphries for reporting the hazing, according to the lawsuit. Humphries claims he was made to do additional drills and had the team's academic advisor subject him to 'irrational and inappropriate' censure.
