This is the eerie moment an imposing dust cloud billows across the plains of Australia and within minutes swallows up the landscape in a thick red fog.
Locals in Nyngan, New South Wales, watched dumbfounded as the wall of dust loomed in on them.
The freak weather is believed to be caused by winds from nearby thunderstorms and dry conditions.
David Motley, who filmed the dust cloud for the second day running, said he was yesterday forced to 'save the house' from the storm.
