An innocent taxi driver needed 19 stitches in his arm after he was attacked and robbed by a group of masked thugs with an axe.

Ravinder Singh was set upon by four men in Queen's Park, Perth, after they got out of a silver sedan and approached his cab about 3.40am on Saturday.  

One of Mr Singh's attackers was armed with an axe, which was used to smash the car windows and hit the taxi driver.
