A private school in Rhode Island is in panic mode after a teacher and teenage girl tested positive for coronavirus following a study trip to

Neither the teacher nor the girl have been named but both are from Saint Raphael Academy, a private prep school near Providence. 

A third person who is connected to the school and went on the trip as a chaperone is also being tested for the virus after showing some symptoms.  

The group returned from on February 22, before the vast spread of the virus in was what it is now. 

At first, staff told parents and students not to worry or read into media reports about the potential case.

After the staff member and a 16-year-old girl who was also on the trip were confirmed cases, they school announced it would be closing for a week.
