George Conway has proudly donated the maximum amount to Joe Biden's campaign in a move that could cost his wife her job down the line.

The conservative lawyer, whose wife is a senior adviser to President Donald , touted his $2,800 donation in a tweet on Tuesday night as Biden celebrated a slew of early victories in several state primaries.

George revealed that he had tried to donate $5,600, but Biden's campaign website wouldn't allow it as citizens are limited in how much they can donate to each candidate.

He told reporters he is supporting Biden 'because the nation can't afford four more years with a megalomaniacal moron in the White House' - a not-so-subtle shot at his wife's boss.
