Houston Rockets guard Russell Westbrook is enjoying spending time with his wife Nina Earl and their three children during the NBA's coronavirus suspension, but while he's at home, his foundation is working to provide relief from the pandemic in the Los Angeles area.

Westbrook and his wife's foundation, Why Not?, is working with LA mayor Eric Garcetti's office on the campaign, which is simply aimed at giving financial aid to the city's poorer communities and those who have been impacted by the pandemic.

The 31-year-old All-Star discussed his coronavirus experience with ABC's Robin Roberts on Thursday. There was no mention of how much the foundation has raised for coronavirus relief, or if the campaign had any specific fundraising goals. 

'I'm excited about it,' he said during a Thursday morning interview with Good Morning America. 'It's a campaign that's something that will be from my foundation finding ways to give cash and give access to families and people that's in need,
