A bomb squad has today swooped on a Norfolk beach after an 'unexploded device' was found in a car park.

The device was found at the beach car park at Horsey Gap, near Horsey, north of Great Yarmouth, earlier today.

The car park has been closed and people have been advised to avoid the area.

An Explosive Ordnance Disposal team is assessing the item. A cordon has been put up in place as a precaution.
