A Ring doorbell camera on the doorstep of Eminem's Detroit mansion captured the moment an intruder appeared at his door and broke in.

Matthew David Hughes, 27, can be seen pacing up and down outside the front door before he made his way to the rapper's bedroom, stood over him as he slept and then threatened to kill him, police say.

Hughes appeared in Macomb County District Court on Wednesday, facing charges of first-degree home invasion and malicious destruction of property.

In video footage that was shot in April, but released by the court this week, Hughes can be seen calmly walking up to the front door of the home before taking a closer peek at the doorcam.

It ended up giving police a clear view that meant they could positively identify the suspect.
