Former Trump campaign manager Bradley Parscale was was involuntarily committed to a hospital Sunday at his Fort Lauderdale home after his wife reported that he was suicidal, according to police.
Police say officers responded just before 4 p.m. to a home north of Las Olas Boulevard that property records show was purchased last year by Parscale and his wife, Candice Parscale. Police said they were called about “an armed male attempting suicide,” according to a Fort Lauderdale police press release that identified the man as Parscale.
“When officers arrived on scene, they made contact with the reportee (wife of armed subject) who advised her husband was armed, had access to multiple firearms inside the residence and was threatening to harm himself,” the press release stated. “Officers determined the only occupant inside the home was the adult male. Officers made contact with the male, developed a rapport, and safely negotiated for him to exit the home.”
Police say Parscale was detained and taken to Broward Health Medical Center under Florida’s Baker Act law, which allows officers to involuntarily commit a person who is a danger to themselves or others.sonos sonos One (Gen 2) - Voice Controlled Smart Speaker with Amazon Alexa Built-in - Black read more
