Cast and crew of the Big Brother house, including host Sonia Kruger, have been evacuated after scheduled hazard reduction burns jumped containment lines on Sydney's North Head.

Emergency crews rushed to the house in the national park near Manly, on the northern beaches, at about 2pm on Saturday.

National Parks and Wildlife Service were conducting a hazard reduction operation when the fire spread past control lines and began burning in a south-westerly direction due to north-easterly winds.
