President Donald Trump has slammed Joe Biden's 'dark, dismal, gloomy' vision for the future, saying the Democratic presidential nominee could send the country back into a COVID-19 lockdown that would cause a super 'depression'.
The Commander-in-chief made the claim during two campaign rallies in Florida on Friday, as he tries to muster up support in the vital swing state just 11 days out from the election.
'This election is a choice between a Trump super recovery and Biden super depression!' he told a raucous crowd in Pensacola.
'Joe Biden's plan will crush American; my plan will crush the virus. We're going to get back to normal where we were seven months ago'.
Trump echoed the same theme during a second rally at The Villages - a retirement community in Sumter County.
'This election is a choice between... a Trump super recovery and a Biden depression because you will have a depression. Who has 401(k)s in this group? Anybody? If he got in, wave bye-bye to your 401(k) because it's going down the tubes.'
Trump trails Biden in his home state but the race is tight. The RealClearPolitics polling average has Biden up by 2 points, well within the margin of error.

During the course of the day, President Trump painted himself as an optimist, while claiming Biden was a pessimist who was trying to terrify Americans.
'All he talks about is COVID, COVID, COVID because he wants to scare people,' Trump charged.
'Last night [at the debate] he said, "America is entering a dark winter.". Isn't that really inspirational? He's running for President. Think of it. We have this guy that can't even speak and he goes, "We're entering a dark winter". So inspirational, but he's trying to scare people, basically. He's trying to get something because he's been such a failure at every level of government that this is something.'
The Commander-in-chief continued: 'We're not entering a dark winter. We're entering the final turn and approaching the light at the end of the tunnel. That's the way I look at it.'
The comments come as the CDC revealed that COVID cases are on the rise in nearly 80 percent of US states and territories.
On Friday, the country recorded more than 70,000 new cases of the virus, taking the total number of infections to 8.45 million. More than 223,000 Americans have died from the disease.
At his Florida rallies, Trump also unleashed a new campaign weapon - videos. He played several videos showing Biden in a bad light on Social Security, fracking Medicare that had the crowds roaring in laughter.
Trump argued he is the voters' best choice for the next four years.
'Joe works to enrich his family and I work for the American people,' he said.
He claimed Biden would eliminate the second amendment and private healthcare, destroy the suburbs, and abolish fracking.
