A mother who allegedly directed a fake daycare centre that defrauded taxpayers of $500,000 is accused of 'fake marrying' a migrant so he could get a visa.
Suzy Zreika, 46, was arrested and charged with being a ringleader of a conspiracy to defraud the Federal Government last Wednesday.
Police will allege Zreika ran ABC Kids N Care, a centre located next to a Coles supermarket in Sydney's west, which allegedly took in few children but allowed a crime syndicate to profit from child care subsidies and payments.
But police will allege her duplicity did not end there - with Zreika and her 'husband' charged over what detectives claim is a marriage scam.
Suzy Zreika and her alleged husband have been charged, accused of being legally married, despite not being in a relationship, and submitting false documents for him to get a visa
Some 13 people were arrested - including eight women - as part of the alleged family day care centre scam last Wednesday, with Zreika (centre) charged with conspiracy to defraud
