A lucky punter has won a whopping $64,000 with one far-fetched $24 bet at the Melbourne Cup - successfully picking the top four horses.
Star jockey Jye McNeil led Twilight Payment through to the finish line on his first attempt at the race that stops the nation, albeit it in front of an empty grandstand at Flemington.
Twilight Payment's incredible win was followed by Tiger Moth, Prince of Arran in third place and The Chosen One in fourth place.
A punter in NSW tipped those four horses to win with a mere $24 on a First 4 bet - and he wasn't disappointed with the outcome.

With a chance of just one in 2,684 of winning the bet the backer scored a huge $64,418.50 payday, news.com.au reported.
Earlier in the day, another lucky punter won $30,000 after betting just $1 after successfully picking out the first four winners in the second race.
With odds of 30,000 to 1, the gambler chose No Restriction to win the 1400m World Horse Racing Desirable Stakes, which was paying an outside $41 for victory.
They then followed it up with Pride Of Jenni, Ripper Rita and Sweet Reply which finished second, third and fourth respectively.
The bet earned him an incredible $30,070.10.
