A mother of four nicknamed the 'black widow' has been branded a danger to all men after she stabbed her stepson within four weeks of her marrying him to win a bet.

Four times wed Kathleen Webber, 58, knifed latest spouse Keith Dean twice in a blazing row as she challenged him about watching TV.

The victim, 57, suffered wounds to his right leg and later claimed his former stepmother had been 'controlling' of him during their marriage.

Police investigating last year's stabbing discovered Webber had previously been married twice to Mr Dean's market trader father Eric before he passed away aged 81.

She had also been convicted of killing her second husband Dean Leighton Webber , 39, following a row on Christmas Day 2002 and had been in a string of abusive relationships.

At Minshull Street Crown Court, Manchester, Webber, from Ashton-under-Lyne was jailed for 30 months after she admitted unlawful wounding. An expert report she posed risk to any adult she formed 'intimate relationships with.'

Mr Dean jnr had moved in with Webber just ten days after the death in March 2019 of Eric who had ten children and 20 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The pair later married on October 18 2019 as part of a bizarre wager, the court heard.

Miss Nicola Gatto prosecuting said: 'Keith said he realised very quickly this had been a mistake and there were various incidents of domestic violence. There are records of the police being called and incidents being reported by both the complainant and the defendant.

'Police were called over a report the defendant had pushed Keith downstairs but he didn't support the prosecution. They were then called again by the defendant who said that Keith had grabbed her arm and put his arm around her neck.

'There was evidence of a toxic relationship on both sides.'

The stabbing occurred on November 17, 2019 at 4pm whilst Mr Dean jnr was watching TV in the living room.

Miss Gatto added: 'The defendant had been in the kitchen but she stood in front of him blocking his view and said to him, 'You think you're f****ing hard.'

'Keith thought the defendant wanted to start an argument and expected her to become violent. He ignored her but she hit him in the face with an ashtray and he then pushed her away shouting, 'who do you think you are?' The defendant fell down onto the couch and got up calling him a 'f***ing prick.'

'She went into the kitchen and got a knife which was the largest one in the kitchen block. Keith was very frightened he stood up and shouted: 'don't you f**king think about it.' But the defendant waved it at him and stabbed him in the right leg and lunged forward and stabbed him in the leg a second time. He shouted at her 'you f**king stabbed me you bi**h' and grabbed her wrists and struggled and pushed her as hard as he could.

'She fell onto the sofa and he made for the kitchen and closed the door using his body weight to keep it closed and could see the handle moving up and down and hearing the defendant shout, 'Open the f**king door.' '

He rang 999 fearing he'd be further assaulted if she got into the room.
