Coles will stock more vegan products after the company behind the Hungry Jack's plant-based Rebel Whopper secures a deal with the supermarket.

The retail giant joined forces with Australian plant-based startup v2food to sell vegan mince and burger patties in 800 stores across the nation from Thursday.

V2burgers, which will sell as a four-pack for $9 in Coles, are a core ingredient of the Rebel Whopper, sold in 420 Hungry Jack's outlets throughout the country.
