A neighbour has shared the heartwarming note they received from two local boys collecting cans and bottles to exchange for money in order to buy a pet dog. 

The neighbour found the note from the brothers Ronan and Xander in their letterbox when they arrived home from work in Perth on Monday.

They later posted a picture of the 'lovely letter' online to praise the siblings for their hard work.
