New South Wales has recorded three new local cases of coronavirus.
All three are linked to the Berala cluster and are close contacts of a previously reported case, taking the cluster to 26.
Premier Gladys Berejiklian, who has returned from a week of leave, said contact tracers are in the process of 'mopping up' the western Sydney outbreak which emerged on 29 December.
She also revealed that she wants major sporting events in NSW to go ahead this year with Covid restrictions.

'The government is looking very closely based on health advice, how we manage these major events in a Covid-safe way,' she said when asked if the Sydney derby soccer game will go ahead on Saturday.
'I do want to stress our intention in New South Wales is to always continue with life as normal as possible including hosting major events, but the question is how can you make them Covid-safe?
