Alejandro Sanabria, 26, is being held in the Angelina County Jail on $6 million bond after fatally stabbing his other and injuring a police officer during a manic episode
Shocking video footage shows the terrifying moment a son fatally stabbed his mother as they waited in line at a Texas convenience store last Friday.
Martha Hageon, 48, died after being taken off life support on Tuesday.
Her 26-year-old son Alejandro Sanabria had attacked her in the Lucky's Convenience Store in Lufkin at around 10.30pm Friday while he was in a manic state due to his bipolar disorder.Insurance Loans Mortgage Attorney Credit Lawyer
Hageon had been trying to keep her son away from his pregnant partner and child until his manic episode, which was then in its third day, was over, when he turned on her, according to the Lufkin Daily News.
Sanabria was dragged away from his mother and detained by officers who had just entered the store to carry out a welfare check on Hageon after she text her husband to call 911 because her son was acting 'crazy'.
Officer Gerardo Salinas, 29, was also stabbed in the side and suffered a punctured lung as cops tried to wrestle the large knife away from Sanabria.
He is now recovering at home after being released from hospital on Monday.
Police were first made aware that Hageon may be in danger after receiving a 911 call from her husband Jimmie in which he asked them to check in on her and her son.
She had allegedly text saying that she needed cops to pull her car over.

'My wife just called me telling me to call 911. I am heading that way now. I do not know what is going on. She said call 911. She needs them to pull her car over,' he tells the dispatcher in the newly released audio.
'Probably has her son with her. Her son's acting silly. He is acting crazy or something. I do not know what's going on.'
He said that when he received his wife's text, he called her, and she screamed at him to call the police.
'I don't know what's going on, I'm just trying to find my wife,' he tells the dispatcher, as he gives information on her car so officers can track it down.
The distressed husband explains that he is driving around trying to find his wife's car as he had no further details on where she had been headed.
He had last seen her before he left for work at 11am that morning, he said.
