The mother who nearly killed her ex-boyfriend after chasing him down in a ute and ploughing into other cars will spend two years behind bars.

Kristianne Bycroft, 29, had an argument with her 55-year-old ex-partner in the carpark of a Newcastle KFC in November, 2020 before chasing him down and ramming his car.

As he attempted to escape, Ms Bycroft continued to pursue him, causing several collisions with cars on the busy road.

She was incensed and pushed 'over the edge' because he owed her $300.
